Paramount's WBZ-TV/CBS Boston is seeking a Director of Technology to lead the technical strategy and execution of our multi‑platform content center. This role reports to the President and GM and drives operational excellence across broadcast and streaming infrastructure.

You will build innovative workflows, ensure regulatory compliance and cybersecurity, mentor a high‑performing team, and partner with newsroom leadership to prioritize critical projects.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in broadcast engineering or multi‑platform media.
• Deep expertise in television transmission, studio systems, newsroom workflows, and streaming tech.
• Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
• Experience leading technical transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication across departments and leadership.
• Knowledge of FCC regulations and industry best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward‑looking technology strategy.
• Lead engineering and technical operations for broadcast and digital streaming.
• Oversee infrastructure supporting news production and multi‑platform delivery.
• Drive innovation across TV and streaming workflows.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, signal integrity, cybersecurity, and reliability.
• Collaborate on capital planning, vendor relationships, budgets.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing engineering team.
• Partner with News Operations to prioritize projects.
