Job summary

Olin Chemicals is offering a Technology Development Engineer Intern position for Summer 2027 in Charleston, TN. You will gain hands-on experience supporting product and process improvement across lab, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments.

Compensation includes $30 per hour plus a housing stipend. You will lead multiple projects, assist with research and data analysis, and contribute to development efforts while working on-site during normal business hours.

Qualifications

• GPA must be 3.0 or higher at all times.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) before first rotation.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotations; no virtual work.
• Must obtain TWIC and possess a valid US driver's license.
• Olin does not sponsor work authorization; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during the rotation.
• Assist with research, testing, data analysis, and documentation.
• Analyze data to identify trends and improve processes.
• Support test plans with experimental design, data collection and analysis.

Technology Development Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Charleston, TN

Salary: $30.00 / hour

Focus: The Technology Development Engineer Intern supports the Technology Development team, gaining hands‑on experience supporting product and process improvement initiatives across laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments.

What You'll Do:

• Lead a minimum of three hands‑on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need.
• Assist with research, testing, data analysis, and technical documentation
• Analyze operating and experimental data to identify trends, evaluate process performance, and recommend opportunities for improvement
• Support test plans, including experimental design, data collection, and analysis to support process and product development projects

What You'll Bring:

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Chemical Engineering degree program
• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
• Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) during rotation; Not eligible for virtual work
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
