Job summary

The Osborn Engineering Company seeks an experienced Technology Designer to join our team in the United States. This role reports to the Manager of Technology and collaborates with directors, managers and engineering staff to ensure client needs are met on time and within budget.

You will lead and mentor designers, develop specifications, review drawings, travel to project sites, and contribute to multiple projects across sectors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree, RCDD; PE optional.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Industry knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Able to lead and mentor Designer level staff on their responsibilities.
• Review content of drawings and specs for Designers to meet scope of work.
• Write new specification sections and develop new details as required.
• Direct Designers' quality on RFI answers and reviews.
• Travel to project sites to review progress and solve problems within time and budget.
• Develop and monitor work plans with PM.
• Understand distance limitations, interference, bandwidth needs, etc.
• Review code related items with Designers and ensure compliance.
• Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
• Write studies and reports for Technology Design Systems on projects.
• Execute complex TD designs with minimal input and coordination.
• Market Sector – Expert in TD requirements for multiple market sectors.
• Write industry white papers.
• Able to manage projects.
