Job summary

Osborn Engineering is seeking an experienced Technology Designer to join our team in Cleveland. This role reports to the Manager of Technology and collaborates with engineers, managers and directors to deliver design solutions that meet client needs on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will lead and mentor Designer staff, develop specification sections, review drawings, and manage multiple projects across diverse market sectors. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree and RCDD recommended; PE optional.
• Ability to work on several projects concurrently.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic and industry knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Designer level staff on their responsibilities.
• Review content of drawings and specs for Designers to meet scope.
• Write new specification sections and develop details as required.
• Direct Designer's quality on RFI answers and reviews.
• Travel to project sites to review progress and solve problems.
• Develop and monitor work plans with PM.
• Review code-related items with Designers for compliance.
• Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects.
• Write studies and reports for Technology Design Systems.
• Execute complex TD designs with minimal input and coordination.
• Market Sector – TD expert across multiple markets.
• Write industry white papers.
• Able to manage projects.
