Job summary

Duly Health and Care Glen Ellyn, IL is seeking a X-Ray Tech for a PT fluctuating schedule to support radiology services across locations. You will operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic x-rays, position patients, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires AART registration or eligibility and CPR certification, with 6 months to 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Must be AART registered or eligible and CPR certification.
• 6 months to 2 years related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.
• Position patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Obtain patient’s pertinent history.
• Maintains crash cart.
• Maintain and stock inventory.
• Maintain OSHA regulations.
• Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
• Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
