Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Naperville is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and produce diagnostic X-rays under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will position patients, explain procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed to protect patients and staff.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree or equivalent, AART registration or eligibility, and CPR certification. 6 months to 2 years of related experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs for diagnostic purposes.
• Positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
• Moves x-ray equipment and sets exposure factors (time, distance).
• Applies radiation protection techniques for patient and staff safety.
• Obtains relevant patient history and maintains equipment and supplies.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and stock inventory.
• Assists with film quality control and workflow in the department.
• Works evenings and holidays as required and reports to lead technologist.

Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.Responsibilities:Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.Obtain patient’s pertinent history.Maintains crash cart.Maintain and stock inventory.Maintain OSHA regulations.Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.Report to lead technologist for work assignments.Will assist with film quality control.Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.Assists and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.Qualifications:EducationAssociate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.CPR certification Years of Experience6 months2 years related experienceThe compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $29.00-$43.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
