Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Lisle, IL, is seeking an X-Ray Tech to join our radiology team. This full-time position offers varied hours, including evenings and holidays, with rotating weekend coverage on a 5th weekend schedule.

The successful candidate will operate radiologic equipment, position patients, explain procedures, and follow radiation safety protocols under the Radiologist's direction. AART registration or eligibility and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year college in radiologic technology or equivalent.
• Must be AART registered or eligible and IDNS licensed.
• CPR certification.
• 6 months to 2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist.
• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Report to lead technologist for work assignments.
• Will assist with film quality control.
• Required to work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department.
• Assists and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
