Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) in Glen Ellyn, IL. This full-time role requires operating radiologic equipment to produce x-rays for diagnostic purposes, positioning patients, and ensuring radiation safety.

You’ll work with a physician-led team across departments to support patient care. Qualifications include an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent, AART registration or eligibility, IDNS license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • AART registered or eligible.
  • IDNS licensed.
  • CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist.
  • Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
  • Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Obtain patient’s pertinent history.
  • Maintains crash cart.
  • Maintain and stock inventory.
  • Maintain OSHA regulations.
  • Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
