Job summary

Labcorp in Spokane, WA is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our team. The role provides hands-on training to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures under supervision, with schedule of Wednesday - Saturday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, or Chemistry, and preferred is 6 months of experience in a clinical or hospital lab. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour plus 3rd shift differential and comprehensive

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Work Schedule:

Wednesday - Saturday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am overtime and additional days or hours may be required

Job Responsibilities You Will Learn

Pay Range:

$21.00 to $22.00 per hour

Plus 3rd shift differentials

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
