Job summary

Labcorp in Seattle is seeking a Non-Registered Technician to join the laboratory team. The role involves delivering accurate test results, handling specimens for microbiology, and maintaining instrument performance during the Saturday-Wednesday night shift (11 PM–7:30 AM).

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological sciences field. Candidates should be able to work independently or in teams, adhere to SOPs, and pass a color-vision test.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High level of attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
• Process specimens for the microbiology test requested.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.

Work Schedule

Saturday-Wednesday 11PM- 7:30AM

Job Responsibilities

• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
• Pay Range: $23.43-37.22

Plus 3rd shift differential

All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Benefits: Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
