Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging to perform imaging procedures per radiology standards. The role supports diagnosis and treatment, with responsibility for protocol selection, patient positioning, and quality imaging. On-site role with adherence to hospital guidelines.

The candidate should be ARRT(R) registered, with 6 months minimum MRI experience, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. ARRT(MR) registry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy required.
• Familiarity with PACS and imaging software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment following radiology practice standards.
• Develops and implements imaging procedure plans.
• Completes documentation per hospital policy.
• Maintains equipment and exam rooms in a safe, clean state.
• Participates in department Performance Improvement activities.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Minimum Required

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

Minimum Required

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required. Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred.
