Job summary

Baptist Health Oxford is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI to perform imaging procedures according to radiology standards. You will help diagnose and treat patients by selecting the best techniques and positioning for each study, while adhering to hospital protocols.

Responsibilities include documenting procedures, maintaining equipment and rooms, and participating in quality-improvement activities to ensure patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in MRI required to meet competencies as stated.
• ARRT(R) registration is required; MR registration preferred.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer literacy is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures per radiology standards to aid diagnosis or treatment.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans using hospital protocols.
• Documents results and maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas safely.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure quality care.
• Completes assigned goals in a timely, compliant manner.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required or Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Special Skills
