Job summary

Baptist Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, MS is seeking an MRI Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures following radiology practice standards and to aid in diagnosis and treatment. You will work in the Radiology Diagnostic department and support patient care during procedures.

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate technique and positioning, developing and implementing procedure plans, documenting results, and maintaining equipment and work areas.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) registration required; MR imaging ARRT(MR) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• New graduate who will obtain required registry within 60 days of hire.
• State license as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements a procedure/treatment plan per hospital protocols.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment, rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.

• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Minimum Required Experience

6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Minimum Required Experience

Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required. Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Minimum Required Special Skills

Basic computer literacy skills.
