Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Southaven, MS is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with radiology practices. The role involves applying correct techniques, developing and implementing treatment plans, and maintaining equipment and documentation to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Minimum 6 months MRI experience is required; ARRT(R) registration is mandatory, with MR registry preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required; BLS certification within 14 days of hire; new graduates must obtain registry within 60 days; state license as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles/theory and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops procedure/treatment plan and implements it per hospital protocols.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a safe condition for patients and staff.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Completes assigned goals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Minimum Required

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

Minimum Required

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required. Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred.
