Job summary

A healthcare organization in Southaven is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist. The role involves performing imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Candidates should have 6 months of experience in the specialty area and be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, maintaining equipment, and participating in quality improvement activities. A state license and BLS certification are required within 14 days.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.
• Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of Radiologic principles and utilize the appropriate technique for optimal procedures.
• Develop and implement procedure/treatment plans while complying with established protocols.
• Complete required documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe condition.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities.

Job description

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required. Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred.
