Job summary

BayCare Health System in Plant City is seeking a dedicated transporter and imaging support teammate to assist with patient transport, screening, and exam room setup in our outpatient imaging area. You will prepare contrast for exams, load the injector as needed, and provide patient education documented in the electronic record, under MRI Level II training where applicable.

Qualifications

• 6 months hospital transport or hospital-related experience
• Preferred: imaging services or medical office experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required

Summary

Under the direction of the clinical manager, assists with patient transport, screening, room set up and prepares patient for exam. Prepares contrast for exam and loads contrast injector as necessary. Provides patient education as instructed by the Imaging Technologist and performs patient education documentation in the patient electronic record. Follows magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Level II training requirements and standards, where applicable. Works with clinical staff to meet department turnaround times and maintain appropriate exam start times. Responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the manager, based upon patient volumes and/or the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

Required experience (for inpatient/hospital positions only): 6 months Hospital Transport or Hospital in related field

Preferred: Business related, imaging services, or medical office experience
