Job summary

The Ophthalmic Technician position at Florida Eye Specialists supports physicians by performing advanced ophthalmic procedures, measurements and tests to provide data and assist patient care. The role requires travel to multiple locations as needed.

After a 90-day probation, full-time employees are eligible for benefits including 401k and profit sharing after 1 year. No prior experience is required; we will train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in similar role preferred.
• No experience necessary; training provided for right candidate.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology (ophthalmology preferred).

Due to the nature of the business, this position will be required to travel to multiple locations, based on clinic needs.

After successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, Full Time employees will be eligible for the following benefits:

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact with patients and employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Education and Experience:
