Job summary

Quality Eye Care Inc in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our busy private practice. You will conduct comprehensive patient workups and support the physician with procedures, while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician is required.
  • COA or COT certification is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and EMR systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Friendly, professional attitude with excellent patient care skills.

  • Perform comprehensive patient workups, including medical and ocular histories.
  • Measure visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and perform refractions.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and other ophthalmic imaging.
  • Assist the physician with minor in-office procedures and injections.
  • Prepare patients before procedures and monitor them during recovery.
  • Accurately document findings in the EMR.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical workflow.

We are a busy, well-established private ophthalmology practice seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate professional who is committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
