Job summary

Charlotte Behavioral Health Care in Punta Gorda, FL is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to support adult and adolescent patients on a 24/7 unit. You will respond to supervisors, lead BHTs, and the charge nurse to monitor safety and assist with patient care and documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities include leading groups, intake/admission tasks, safety searches, vital signs, de‑escalation, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience interacting directly with individuals in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to manage stressful situations with appropriate boundaries and professional conduct.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Sign-on Bonus: $1,500Position summary:Responds to supervisor, Lead BHT, and charge nurse on duty in order to continually monitor safety and interact appropriately with adult and adolescent patients on a 24/7 behavioral health care unit.Assists with patient care management and records progress toward treatment plan objectives using the Electronic Health Record (EHR).Lead and monitor therapeutic groups and leisure and exercise activities.
