Job summary

Recovery Network Of Programs (RNP) is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented individual to support clinic operations at Center For Human Services in Stratford, CT. The role focuses on phone coverage, client check-ins, and liaison with staff.

You will handle incoming calls, update client records in the electronic health record, distribute memos, monitor the lobby, and assist with specimen collection and data entry. Weekend hours are required, with Friday afternoon and Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding client confidentiality.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Answer clinic phone calls and route to appropriate staff.
  • Review client profiles and check-in via the electronic health record system.
  • Disseminate tasks and memos to clients as needed.
  • Monitor the lobby and inform clients of appropriate behavior in the medicating line.
  • Assist in setting clients up for unsupervised urine and other toxicology collection.
  • Maintain the tech booth and lobby presentation.
  • Perform data entry as needed and assist with data tracking.
  • Is an Agency approved driver and supports Saturday coverage rotations.
  • Manage client profiles in the electronic health record and update demographic info.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Location: Center For Human Services - Stratford, CT 06615

SUMMARY: In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Administrative Coordinator, answers phones and disseminates information to clients, while assisting with clinic operations by performing the following duties:

HOURS: Friday, 12:30 pm-7:00 pm and Saturday, 6:00 am-1:00 am

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for answering clinic phone calls as the main point of telephone contact for incoming calls. Determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Responsible for reviewing profiles and checking clients in through the electronic health record system, matching the presenting person to the appropriate client ID.
  • Responsible for communicating tasks and memos to clients singularly as needed, as well as wide scale clinic memos.
  • Responsible for monitoring the lobby. Informs clients of appropriate and inappropriate behavior in medicating line and alerts staff when necessary.
  • Assists in setting clients up for unsupervised urines and other toxicology collection including oral swabs and BAC’s.
  • Manages the organization of the tech booth and surrounding areas, including assisting in maintaining the presentation of the lobby.
  • Assists in tracking data as needed. Performs data entry as needed.
  • Is an Agency approved driver.
  • Maintain work schedule which allows for Saturday coverage rotations.
  • Responsible for managing the client profiles in the electronic health record including but not limited to adding/updating client profile pictures, demographic information, and clearing old messages.
  • Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish Strongly Preferred.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Above average organization.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written or oral instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships, while projecting a professional image at all times.
  • Ability to write and/or enter correspondence into log or computer.
  • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws regarding client confidentiality.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), AS Degree or one year of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
