Recovery Network Of Programs in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is seeking a counselor for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. This position requires an Associate's degree in behavioral sciences or related experience and involves providing crisis intervention, counseling, and maintaining client records.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and knowledge of community resources. Hours are per diem, with availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Coordinator, counsels individuals and/or groups regarding substance abuse problems and co-occurring disorders, and develops and implements a therapeutic treatment plan by performing the following duties.
Per Diem (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the working conditions are good with little or no exposure to extremes in health, safety hazards and/or hazardous materials. This person must have the ability to travel as required to work with staff.
