As a Maintenance Technician I at Hillandale Farms, you will assist with the day-to-day operations and keep to preventative maintenance schedules on processing machines such as washers, graders, packers, and conveyor belts.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide basic maintenance support to all processing plants at various sites in a timely, efficient manner while supporting level II techs with more complex reviews/repairs.
• General knowledge of mechanical tools.
• Responsible for basic troubleshooting, identifying issues, and repairing accordingly. For advanced issues, report to level II techs and shadow through the repair process.
• Understand and perform routine maintenance on all processing machinery.
• General familiarity/exposure to electrical, plumbing, electronics, and basic robotics.
• Understand processes and procedures of food processing equipment to comprehend machinery and its purpose.
• Assist processing team as needed to meet business needs.
• Adhere to all safety requirements/guidelines when performing responsibilities.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Entry-level; minimum 1 year experience/exposure in a processing plant or related environment.
• Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, electronics, and basic robotics.
• Professional manner of work.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented, able to follow instructions closely, and perform multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Repetitive lifting, squatting, twisting, turning, kneeling, and bending required.
