Position Summary

This is an entry-level, customer-facing position. No prior instrument repair experience is necessary; we will train you! For a glimpse of the work, click here.

What You Will Do As A Repair Technician

• Perform basic to intermediate repairs of surgical instruments, including ultrasonic function, metallurgy, buff and polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations, and brazing.
• Demonstrate quality performance in advanced work such as Dremel operation, re-cup and re-jaw, and laparoscopic inspection.
• Provide invoicing and documentation as required.
• Work primarily inside a mobile repair truck, with frequent hospital visits.
• Support various locations within the territory based on service agreements and customer needs.
• Follow all safety, health, and operational protocols, including use of PPE and safety checks.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or 2+ years of work experience; all verifiable.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push carts up to 150 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including early/late hours, nights, and weekends.
• Minimum of 21 years old; valid driver's license with acceptable record; ability to pass DOT medical exam and comply with DOT regulations.
• Experience in repair, assembly, or testing with small tools is a plus. Relevant fields include small engine repair, electronics, carpentry, automotive, etc.
