Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Colton, CA is hiring a diesel mechanic with 5–7 years of experience in construction or equipment rental. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engines, drivetrains, hydraulic, electrical, ignition, and pneumatic systems, leveraging your toolkit and problem-solving skills.

Typical schedule Monday–Friday 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM with potential overtime. We provide uniforms, free equipment rental, safety glasses, health benefits, a 401k match, PTO, and a DOT

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience as diesel mechanic with construction/heavy equipment background.
• Must have the tools you need to perform repairs.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines as well as drivetrains.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and major/minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, pneumatic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills; experience with electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, ignition, and drivetrain.
• A DOT medical card is required – we can help you get yours.
• Clean driving record as you may be in the on-call rotation; safety culture priority.
• Solving problems and troubleshooting go hand-in-hand in this role.
