Job summary

Briggs Industrial Solutions is seeking a skilled Technician 2 to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at shop and customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure safety and compliance while keeping detailed service records.

The role requires 3+ years in forklift repair, a HS diploma or GED with a valid license, and preferred Briggs certifications.

Qualifications

3+ years of forklift repair or related industry experience.
High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; mechanical or trade school training and Hyster-Yale certifications are preferred.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform hands-on work safely; welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
Certification on at least 65% of the Briggs Equipment product line is required.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment, including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, steering, drive systems, and lifting systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections; identify potential problems and safety concerns.
Keep accurate service records and maintain necessary parts and supplies; support the team as needed.
Ensure safety by securing equipment and complying with all DOT, OSHA, and company procedures.
