Job summary

Briggs Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Road Technician to diagnose and repair material handling and aerial equipment at customer sites. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot failures, and ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications, while following Briggs safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in forklift repair, and ability to read precision instruments. Valid driver's license required; welding skills preferred. On-call schedule may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in forklift repair or related industry.
• Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment, including LP, gas, and diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
• Rebuild and repair components and systems in material handling and aerial equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment runs per manufacturer specs.
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on components and systems.
• Record maintenance and repair work and complete paperwork promptly.
• Maintain parts and supplies and keep company vehicle clean and safe.
