Job summary

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and strong problem-solving skills. FDOT MOT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 50 feet.
• Experience with electronic toll collection systems, RFID, ANPR, or traffic control devices is highly desirable.
• Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills involving hardware and software systems.
• Proficiency with networking concepts, including TCP/IP and communication protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• FDOT-approved Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation and preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and associated systems.
• Completes reports and logs and performs shift-to-shift communications.
• Responds to corrective maintenance requests or alarms within established timeframes.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and system issues.
• Report on the technical status of the system with accuracy and completeness.
• Restore equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.
• Isolates faults in units, systems, and components.
• Conducts field testing of units and components.
• Maintains spare equipment and parts inventory.
• Assists in the training and mentoring of less experienced technicians
• Operates company vehicles as required to travel to work sites.
