Job summary

Inchcape is a leading global automotive distributor with a footprint in 40 markets. We are seeking an Automotive Technician I to join our Aftersales team in Guam.

You will perform general maintenance, assist seasoned technicians, and develop hands-on skills in a dealership environment. This entry-level role welcomes candidates with a strong interest in automotive repair, a high school diploma, and a Guam driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous automotive, mechanical, or technical experience preferred.
  • Automotive training or technical school experience is a plus.
  • Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in automotive repair are encouraged to apply.
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • Valid Guam Driver’s License required.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and maintenance.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established repair procedures.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs as outlined on repair orders under appropriate supervision.
  • Complete routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, fluid checks, and brake-related maintenance.
  • Assist experienced technicians with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify safety concerns and recommended maintenance or repairs.
  • Communicate any additional repair or maintenance needs to the Service Advisor or assigned technician.
  • Accurately document work performed on repair orders.
  • Assist with road testing vehicles as directed.
  • Properly use automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
  • Participate in OEM and dealership-sponsored training programs.
  • Develop knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures, technical bulletins, and vehicle systems.
  • Maintain customer vehicles in a clean and professional condition.
  • Keep the assigned work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Properly maintain and account for dealership-owned tools and equipment.
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and hazardous material regulations.
  • Report equipment defects, safety concerns, or workplace hazards to management.
  • Attend departmental meetings, training, and events as required.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and report to work on time as scheduled.
