Job summary

Morrico Equipment in Guam is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, identify service needs, and guide them on available services, pricing, and timelines. You will coordinate repair schedules, work with the Parts Department on parts and estimates, and maintain detailed service records to support invoicing and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, experience in equipment or customer service, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in equipment service or customer service preferred.
  • Experience with heavy equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service jobs and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate equipment issues to service technicians.
  • Attention to detail when preparing estimates, work orders, and service documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or equipment service operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, determine service needs, and explain services and pricing.
  • Receive repair requests, schedule service appointments, and coordinate with technicians.
  • Coordinate with Parts to confirm availability and prepare estimates.
  • Prepare and close service work orders, documenting labor and parts.
  • Act as liaison between customers and technicians, relaying concerns.
  • Monitor progress and inform customers of ETA and changes.
  • Record service appointments and equipment history to support efficiency.

Job description

What you'll do
  • Greet customers professionally, determine their equipment service needs, and provide information on available services, pricing, and service timelines.
  • Receive repair requests, schedule service appointments, and manage service schedules based on customer needs, equipment requirements, and technician availability.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to confirm parts availability and pricing, prepare repair estimates, obtain customer approval, and follow up on parts orders.
  • Prepare, maintain, and close service work orders, ensuring labor, parts, and other applicable charges are accurately documented for invoicing.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and service technicians by accurately communicating equipment concerns, repair requirements, and service updates.
  • Monitor service jobs and communicate repair progress, estimated completion times, and additional service requirements to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of service appointments, repair orders, customer interactions, and equipment service history while supporting the overall efficiency of the Service Department.
About you
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in equipment service, customer service, service advising, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment, diesel equipment, generators, forklifts, or construction equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple service jobs and priorities.
  • Ability to understand customer descriptions of equipment issues and communicate them accurately to service technicians.
  • Strong attention to detail when preparing estimates, work orders, and service documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or equipment service operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, Parts, and management in a fast-paced environment.
