A leading machinery service provider in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Technician for Generator Preventative Maintenance. The role involves planning and executing scheduled services on generators and other equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Candidates should have at least 3 years of mechanical experience and a valid driver's license. Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical experience with engines/generators required.
• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate completion of documentation like work orders and service reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform scheduled services on generators, diesel/gas engines, transfer switches, switch gear and other equipment in the field using proper tools and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and efficient completion of all documentation: work orders, service reports, allocation of time, and parts tracking.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by meeting customer needs and deadlines.
• Complete all scheduled repairs safely and efficiently.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Adhere to all safety rules and maintain quality housekeeping in the work area.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No formal responsibility for supervising others.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of mechanical experience with engines/generators.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred

• 5 or more years of experience with engines/generators, preferably Caterpillar equipment.
• Chauffeur’s license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
• Experience with transfer switches, switch gear, and uninterrupted power supply (UPS) equipment.
