- Support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets
- Maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities
- Support stores and store associates
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
- Perform work according to Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
- Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
- Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
- Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report
- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
- Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field
- Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently
- Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program is preferred
- Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located is preferred
