Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/refrigeration technician to support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment in Walmart facilities across Colorado. Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration
• Or 6 years’ experience with AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• EPA Type I/II/Universal certification for refrigerant handling
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required
• 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
• No serious traffic violations as defined by FMCSRs in the last three years
• Completion of a 2-year HVAC/R program or 2-year AAS preferred
• Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint (preferred)
• Reading blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams (preferred)
• Using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment (preferred)
• Experience with Glycol and CO2 systems (preferred)
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights

Job description

Requirements

• Option 1: 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration
• Option 2: 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling
• Where required, HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, or OUI within the last five years
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
• No serious traffic violations as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
• Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration (preferred)
• Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (preferred)
• Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams (preferred)
• Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment (preferred)
• Prior experience with Glycol and CO2 systems (preferred)
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work frequently at heights
