Job summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair operations across its facility network in Bloomington, MN. Candidates must hold EPA Type I/II or Universal certification, have 2 years of experience, and a valid Minnesota driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass MVR.
• 18 years or older with high school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/R certification options available (see qualifications).
• Type I/II or Universal EPA certification maintained.
• HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required.

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field
• Maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required
• No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in the last five years on a commercial driving record
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years on a commercial driving record
• No preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last three years
• No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work frequently at heights
