The Facility Services HVAC/Refrigeration team ensures the reliable operation of critical systems across Walmart's commercial and industrial sites. This team manages installation, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Members collaborate to troubleshoot issues, coordinate service calls, and maintain parts inventory for timely resolutions. Emphasizing skill development through hands‑on training and mentorship, the team supports business priorities focused on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
Option 1: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling-equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years' store experience.
Valid state‑issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.
Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC program.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
