Custom Computer Specialists is seeking an IT operations specialist to manage asset lifecycle, deploy and refresh end-user devices, and ensure accurate inventory records across Long Island and NYC locations. This role offers growth opportunities and exposure to enterprise device deployments.
You will coordinate staging, configuration, and delivery, while providing Day 2 support and maintaining strong customer service with internal teams and clients.

The Technician is responsible for supporting the organization’s technology lifecycle management program by coordinating the replacement, deployment, recovery, and retirement of end-user computing devices and related technology assets. This role ensures equipment is properly staged, deployed, inventoried, recovered, and decommissioned while maintaining accurate asset records and minimizing disruption to organizational operations.
This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in IT operations and endpoint management. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with enterprise device deployments, asset lifecycle management, endpoint management solutions, and technology refresh initiatives while receiving mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.
This position supports multiple technology projects and operational initiatives. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, device distribution, equipment staging and kiosk assembly, wireless access point configuration, asset management, and processing of end-of-life technology equipment in the warehouse at HQ.
Travel throughout Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City and reporting to Long Island HQ is required. Role can change to reporting to HQ only.
Work Schedule
The standard work schedule for this position is 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM to support project implementation and operational requirements. During school district breaks, summer months, or as required to support business and project needs, the work schedule will transition to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and reporting to HQ.
Employees are expected to maintain a flexible work schedule and may be required to adjust their hours based on project timelines, operational priorities, maintenance windows, emergency response, or other business needs.
Responsibilities may include staging and configuration in the configuration center, distribution and other project initiatives based at HQ.
