Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking an experienced manager/coach to lead in-field development for technicians, improving diagnostics, repair quality, and execution discipline.

You will reinforce standardized processes, conduct root cause analysis, and support branch leadership in aligning technician growth with efficiency goals. The role requires reading schematics, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management level experience in shop and service management, within the construction equipment rental industry is preferred.
• Extensive experience as a senior-level technician with advanced troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Proven ability to coach and develop technicians in field or shop environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment systems, repair practices, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and translate complex issues into practical guidance.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Ability to work independently in field environments with frequent travel between locations.
