Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Construction Equipment Technician to repair and maintain a full line of construction equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and build strong relationships with customers, vendors and factory representatives.

The role requires following OEM specifications, strong diagnostics skills, knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction equipment repair experience.
• 2-4 years as a construction equipment technician.
• Ability to follow Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
• Advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting for major and minor repairs.
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on a full line of construction equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot minor and major repairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and factory reps.
• Create detailed parts and labor repair scopes for quotes.
• Read and understand electrical/hydraulic schematics and service diagrams.
• Be a self-starter, prioritize tasks, and communicate with Service and Parts Teams.
• Willing to work overtime and be on on-call list.
