ACT Construction Equipment is expanding its team with a Construction Equipment Mechanic, focused on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of heavy equipment. The role emphasizes repairing hydraulic and engine systems, and delivering reliable service to customers.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have experience repairing construction or compact construction equipment.
• Must have working knowledge of hydraulic devices and hydrostatic operating systems.
• Electrical/CAN Bus troubleshooting experience is preferred.
• Basic welding skills and diesel/gas engine knowledge are required.
• Ability to use diagnostic testing equipment and computer technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on construction equipment to prevent failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to return units to service quickly.
• Provide clear communication with customers and internal teams.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and document service actions.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have experience working with construction or compact construction equipment repair and the following:

• Working knowledge of hydraulic devices and hydrostatic operating systems
• Electrical/CAN Bus troubleshooting experience
• Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines
• Comfortable using computer technology for diagnostic testing purposes
• Basic welding skills
• Auto A/C system knowledge and experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Have full set of mechanics tools and basic electrical test equipment
• CDL or Class B or be eligible to achieve CDL a plus
• Must have acceptable driving record (may need to assist Road tech from time-to-time)
