Job summary

ACT Construction Equipment is seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Charlotte. You will perform planned maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to keep heavy equipment in optimal condition.

Ideal candidates have experience with hydraulic systems, electrical CAN Bus troubleshooting, gas/diesel engines, welding, and basic electrical testing. A strong focus on customer service and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with diagnostic tools.
• Welding and basic electrical test equipment familiarity.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have experience working with construction or compact construction equipment repair and the following:

• Working knowledge of hydraulic devices and hydrostatic operating systems
• Electrical/CAN Bus troubleshooting experience
• Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines
• Comfortable using computer technology for diagnostic testing purposes
• Basic welding skills
• Auto A/C system knowledge and experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Have full set of mechanics tools and basic electrical test equipment
• CDL or Class B or be eligible to achieve CDL a plus
• Must have acceptable driving record (may need to assist Road tech from time-to-time)

Salary Description

$23 - $45 per hour
