Ziegler CAT is hiring a Rental Diesel Technician at our St. Cloud location to service a mix of Ziegler-owned rental equipment and non-CAT units. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 10am–6:30pm.

You will diagnose, repair, and document work orders while ensuring customer satisfaction. We offer competitive pay from $27 to $45 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including health, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) plan with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant diesel engine/equipment repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, driveline, electrical/electronics, diesel exhaust, and fuel systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and teammates.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and use diagnostic systems.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Role is safety sensitive and requires pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including skid steers, compact wheel loaders, mini excavators, aerial lifts, tele-handlers, CUVs, and other light/medium construction gear.
• Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work safely at all times following policies, procedures and standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians and assist as needed with troubleshooting repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and product knowledge.

Education

2-year technical college degree in diesel technology

High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience

The pay range for this position is $27.00 to $45.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:

• Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
• Lift bulky objects
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.
• Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
