TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry level Bolting Technician to assist in bolting services with a mechanical aptitude and a safety-focused mindset.

The role involves carrying out bolting operations at client sites under certification guidelines and company procedures. Responsibilities include P&ID review, torque operations with clicker and hydraulic wrenches, ultrasonic bolt measurements, preload calculations, and documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical school, industry or relevant training preferred.
• One or more years of experience is preferred.
• Driving License, TWIC Card, preferred.

Position Overview:

The Bolting Technician will perform activities within the certification level assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
• The primary role is responsible for executing bolting operations at any facility or client site in accordance with the technician certification following company processes and procedures, achieve or exceed quality expectations for:
  • P&ID review and equipment identification
  • Torque with clicker wrenches
  • Torque with hydraulic torque wrenches
  • Bolt measuring (ultrasonic)
  • Hydraulic nut splitting
  • Bolt calculations of pre-load
  • Joint integrity reporting
  • Visual positive material identification on bolted flange joint components
  • Flange Identification and damage mechanisms
  • Joint Criticality Assessment
• Attend and complete the required training to maintain competence and to continuously improve their skills and levels of competence and knowledge.
• Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Documents all bolting service activities as required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry50 pounds.
• Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.
• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.
• Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to investigations.
• Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform routine office duties.

Work Conditions

• Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

Job Qualifications

Additional Job Description

Anticipated compensation for this role is $45,760 per year plus benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by HB3129 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in Illinois. Team reserves the right to pay more or less than the pasted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
