Position Overview
TEAM is seeking an entry‑level person to assist in bolting services, with a mechanical aptitude, safety focus, and a strong work ethic. This role is a foundational step in the service line career path as assigned. The Bolting Technician performs activities within the certification level assigned.

Primary Responsibilities
- Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
- Execute bolting operations at any facility or client site in accordance with the technician certification, following company processes and procedures, achieving or exceeding quality expectations for:
- P&ID review and equipment identification
- Torque with clicker wrenches
- Torque with hydraulic torque wrenches
- Stud tensioning
- Bolt measuring (ultrasonic)
- Hydraulic nut splitting
- Bolt calculations of pre‑load
- Joint integrity reporting
- Visual positive material identification on bolted flange joint components
- Flange identification and damage mechanisms
- Joint criticality assessment
- Attend and complete required training to maintain competence and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Identify circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Document all bolting service activities as required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells when not performing non‑field duties.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, permitting effective communication.
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, permitting investigation of field conditions.
- Sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation, permitting routine office duties.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off‑site locations.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
Work Conditions
- Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
- Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must tolerate climate changes.
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical school, industry or relevant training preferred.
- One or more years of experience is preferred.
- Driving license, TWIC card preferred.
Additional Job Description
Anticipated compensation for this role is $45,760 per year plus benefits.
Note: Disclosure as required by HB3129 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in Illinois. TEAM reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
