Schomp Mazda in Aurora, CO is seeking an automotive/body shop technician for full-time work. The role focuses on repairing vehicles to factory specifications, removing trim, and performing cosmetic repairs with proper tool use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Experience as automotive or body shop technician.
• Tech school/training completion certificate.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Own a complete and up-to-date tool set.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles in a timely manner with the goal of returning the vehicle to factory specifications.
• Remove vehicle trim without causing further damage to gain access to the vehicle body.
• Properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair.
• Remove damaged parts using power tools and/or a cutting torch.
• Use proper techniques to bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment.
• Ability to straighten bent vehicle frames using a frame wrack.
• Grind and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
• Able to make cosmetic repairs and aim headlights.

• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.


• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.


• Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
