Job summary

Nixon Power Services is seeking a Generator Technician to join our Tulsa team. You will service standby generators, troubleshoot engines, and ensure top‑notch operation to keep customers running smoothly.

With a strong emphasis on safety and customer service, you will install, test, and repair generators, transfer switches, and related equipment, while submitting clear reports and quotes for repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certificate or military training a plus.
• 1–5 years of generator experience required.
• Experience with Kohler Power Systems a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units and respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
