Job summary

Nixon Power Services in La Vergne, TN invites a hands-on Generator Technician to join our team. You will perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems and respond to service calls, ensuring high-quality repairs and timely delivery of work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical School Certificate or Military training preferred.
• 1-5 years generator experience required.
• Experience with Kohler Power Systems is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units.
• Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
