Job summary

Nixon Power Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Generator Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot gas and diesel engines, and install/test new generator units. You’ll respond to jobsites quickly, prepare quotes, submit reports, and follow safety requirements.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, with additional technical training a plus; 1–5 years generator experience preferred. Join a team with a hands-on culture, competitive hourly pay, full benefits, PTO, 401(k)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical School Certificate or Military training a plus.
• 1–5 years or more of generator experience required.
• Experience with Kohler Power Systems a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units.
• Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
