Job summary

Nixon Power Services is seeking a Generator Technician in Orlando, FL, to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair generator systems, and install/test new units. You will respond to service calls, prepare quotes, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical School Certificate or Military training, a plus.
• 1-5 years or more of generator experience required.
• Experience with Kohler Power Systems a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units.
• Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
