Job summary

Nixon Power Services in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a Generator Technician to maintain standby generator systems and ensure reliable power for customers.

You will diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines, install new units, respond to emergencies, and help keep safety and quality standards across on-site projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Technical School Certificate or Military training is a plus.
• 1–5+ years of generator experience required.
• Experience with Kohler Power Systems is a plus.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Repair and adjust transfer switches and perform major repairs on units.
• Install and test new generator units.
• Respond quickly to jobsites in case of emergency.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Follow safety requirements, including proper use of PPE.
