Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking Technicians for a large-scale automation installation project in Spokane, Washington. This project-based temporary role pays $27.50 per hour and runs through the end of November. Shifts are AM and PM, with 6 openings total, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Technicians will support installation, assembly, and setup of automation equipment. Qualified candidates will have prior technician experience, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read basic

• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues during installation.
• Ensure equipment is secured and installed per specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and project guidelines.

Job Title: Technician - Automation Installation Project

Location: Spokane, Washington

Pay: $27.50 per hour

Job Type: Project-based temporary assignment expected to run through the end of November

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Openings: 6 Technicians

QPS Employment Group is hiring Technicians to support a large-scale automation installation project for our client in Washington State. This temporary, project-based role is a great opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who are comfortable using tools, working in an active installation environment, and helping bring automation and equipment upgrades to life.

Available Shifts

AM Shift: 4:30 AM - 2:00 PM - 3 openings

PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM - 3 openings

Position Summary

Technicians will assist with the installation, assembly, and setup of equipment and automation systems. This position works closely with engineers and project leads to complete mechanical installation tasks safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with installation and setup of conveyors, robotics systems, machinery, and related equipment
• Performing mechanical assembly and disassembly of equipment
• Installing components, brackets, and mechanical parts as required
• Using hand tools and power tools to complete installation tasks
• Working with engineers and project leads to follow installation plans
• Troubleshooting basic mechanical issues during installation
• Ensuring equipment is properly secured and installed according to specifications
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Following all safety procedures and project guidelines

Requirements

• Previous technician experience required
• Mechanical or technical experience preferred
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read basic instructions or installation diagrams
• Ability to lift equipment and work in an active installation environment
• Strong attention to safety and teamwork
• Ability to fully clear a background check
• Completion of required training certifications
• Successful completion of client onboarding requirements
• Valid government-issued ID
• Steel-toe boots required

This position is paid at a fixed wage of $27.50 per hour. No additional bonus, commission, or incentive compensation is currently being offered for this role.
