The Continental Automotive Group is hiring in the Austin, TX area for Service Technicians and Technician Apprentices. Local shops in North/Central Austin and San Juan offer paid training, bonuses, and full benefits.

Ideal candidates hold a State Inspection Certification with at least 2 years of hands-on vehicle repair experience across multiple makes and models, and are ready to diagnose and fix a variety of vehicle systems. We provide growth opportunities and a supportive team environment.

• Thoroughly inspect vehicles for proper reconditioning for retail sale.
• Perform basic maintenance and vehicle repairs.
• Diagnose concerns related to drivetrain, electrical, suspension, brakes, etc.
• Maintain a clean workspace and available tools.
• Communicate effectively with advisors and team members.

Must also be comfortable diagnosing different types of vehicles.Formal relevant training from automotive tech and/or factory automotive training programs preferred.Have worked with a business or industry that makes a superior customer experience the priorityAble to work with multiple product linesKnowledge with aftermarket parts/vendors to complete a repairMaintain a positive mindset and are always looking for the up-side to any challengeWork with integrity to stay self-motivated and productiveAre Team-Players and want to understand and take part in the Bigger PictureEnjoy learning and applying new skillsPractice great communication by listening as well as conversingJob Duties/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Thoroughly inspect vehicles for proper reconditioning so they may be retailed.Skills to perform basic maintenance and vehicle repair needsWorks well with team members and advisorsProficient with diagnosing concerns pertaining to drivetrain, electrical, suspension, brakes, etc.Maintain a clean workspaceBasic knowledge required to work on a computer and learn new programsHave your own tools (specialty tools will be provided)Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year and have a clean driving recordMust be at least 18 years of age to be consideredMust be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, DMV screen, and drug screenCome join our family, grow with us, and watch yourself grow as we will invest in the invested!Hours:40 hours per week, overtime may be available or required at times based on business needs.Multiple shifts available, shifts vary between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.This position will be Tuesday - SaturdayCompensation:$25.00 - $40.00 flat rate based on experience, ASE certifications, and productionCAG is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
